Hiking "Vallée du dadés, vallée des roses" and marrakech

This hiking tour reveals the beauty of the Atlas Mountains and its hidden treasures accessible to hikers only. Discover typical villages where ancient architecture has been preserved, the way of life of the inhabitants in these valleys and their agriculture, experience highlights closer to the local population.

 

ITINERARY

Jour 1 : Marrakech - Agafay

Arrival at the airport of Marrakech where you are picked up by a driver who takes you to Agafay in a bivouac. Meal and night .

Jour 2 : Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Vallée des roses- Almdoune (340km)

Departure after breakfast towards the Tizi N Tichka pass (2260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco, grandiose panoramic landscape. Once the pass, the landscapes will be semi-desert. Lunch in Ouarzazate, then continue the road to Kelaat M'Gouna, before arriving at the Dades valley with its beautiful kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in Gite. 

 

Jour 3 : Almdoune – Vallée El Quati - gorges des lauriers roses- Boutghrar

Departure for the 1st day of trekking. You quietly descend a valley of oleanders , cross the beautiful gorges of Agouti, then you arrive at the valley of Elhout with its beautiful casbahs. Lunch by the river near the village of Aznag. Then we continue to the village of Boutaghrar.

Walking time: about 5 hours. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Jour 4 : Boutaghrar -Tourbiste Hdida

Superb walk in the heart of the valley of roses with the casbahs that are becoming more and more numerous. Rose fields appear around cereal crops (barley, corn, potatoes….). These rose gardens are used for the manufacture of cosmetics based on rose. Descent from the valley to Tourbiste then Hdida. 

Walking time: about 4 hours. Dinner and overnight in cottage.

 

Jour 5 : Hdida-Tabarkhachte

We walk along the oued M'goum with its many kasbah and fields of roses then arrived at the villages of Ait Ouassif.

Walking time: about 4 hours. Dinner and overnight in a gîte. 

 

Jour 6 Tabkacht-Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou

After our breakfast in this unforgettable valley, our driver takes us to Ouarzazate, known for its film sets. Then we continue to Ait Ben Haddou magnificent ksar in adobe, striking example of pre-Saharan architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You spend the night in a charming riad. 

 

Jour 7  : Aït Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, departure with your driver towards Marrakech. Lunch break on the way according to your desires, and arrival at the end of the day at your riad. 

 

Jour 8 : Marrakech

Free day in Marrakech. You can immerse yourself in the sound and multicolored atmosphere of the Jemaa-el-Fna square, walk the medina and visit the Bahia palace, the Majorelle garden according to your desires. Dinner and last Moroccan night in your riad.

Jour 9 : Marrakech

During this last day, you will be driven to Marrakech airport depending on your flight time.
