Must-see cities to visit in southern Morocco: Marrakech, Agadir, Taroudant, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Foum Zguid

You can spend just one night in the desert from Agadir, it is doable. But this is not the best way to enjoy as you will spend more time on the road than in the dunes. We advise you, if you can, to make at least 2 nights in the desert.
If you have more time, you can also opt for a circuit with several stages in southern Morocco.

The best seasons to go to the desert are spring and autumn. In March, April, May, October and November, temperatures are ideal: sunny during the day and mild at night.
In winter it is nice to be able to enjoy the sun with mild temperatures, between 10 and 20 degrees, but nights can be cold, between 5 and 10 degrees.
In summer it is very hot, up to 55 degrees. It is more difficult and you have to adapt your rhythm during the day and stay in the shade.

In Morocco, there are several dune areas to visit such as Erg Chebbi from Merzouga or Erg Chegaga from Foum Zguid or M'Hamid.
We take you to the Erg Chegaga which is the closest desert to Agadir but also the wildest and most authentic.
It is accessed by 4x4 only, which prevents mass tourism.

Yes, of course you can !
From 2 years old, children really like the activities offered in the desert: 4x4 tour, camel ride, music and evenings around the fire, looking for fossils, running in the dunes, etc.
We will have special attention to the children, respect their rhythm, be careful that they are not too hot or thirsty.
It’s always a great experience to share as a family.
