Desert tours to Erg Chegaga via Ait Benhaddou

This tour allows you to visit the most beautiful and famous places in southern Morocco including the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a trip in varied landscapes and typical of the atmosphere of southern Morocco.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Agadir - Taroudant

​We pick you up in Agadir to go towards Taroudant 1h30 away. Nicknamed the small Marrakech, the city of Taroudant is appreciated for its magnificent ramparts and its medina on a human scale where you can walk easily without getting lost. You can enjoy a carriage ride at sunset around the ramparts to discover unusual places. You will sleep in a charming riad inside the city.

Day 2 : Taroudant - Ait Ben Haddou

After breakfast, we will take the road towards Ouarzazate. On the road, we will take a break in Taliouine, the city of saffron. Above Ouarzazate, we will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou where you will have all afternoon to discover this beautiful kasbah which was the setting of several famous films. You can walk through the small streets, discover local crafts such as painters who use saffron to represent the colors of the kasbah, wool woven carpets or jewelry. You will sleep in a hotel with a superb view of the kasbah.

Day 3 : Ait Ben Haddou - Foum Zguid - Erg Chegaga

In the morning, we leave towards Zagora then Foum Zguid, the gates of the desert. From this charming little town, we will take the 4x4 to ride the tracks of the Iriki National Park up to) the Erg Chegaga. There you can discover the magnificent sand dunes including the highest dune in Morocco at 300m high. At sunset, enjoy a camel ride to experience the magic of this moment. In the evening we will share a delicious tajine and spend the evening around the campfire to music and to contemplate the stars of the desert. You will sleep under the comfortable tents of the camp, in the quiet of the desert.

Day 4 : Erg Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Agadir

In the morning you will see the sunrise over the dunes and then after breakfast we leave by 4x4 to Foum Zguid. You can have lunch in this city before continuing the road to Agadir.
